The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), arrested a 300 hundred level undergraduate, Rhoda Agboje and her boyfriend, Ifeanyi Nwankwo, for selling drug laced cookies to members of the public and school children in Abuja.
On Tuesday, April 20, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency spoke person also revealed in a statement that a manhunt for fetching individuals participating in such an illegal act in producing cookies with rohypnol, alcohol and highly psychoactive variant of cannabis,, Arizona ( commonly known by street names as reefer, weed, Mary Jane, pot, herb, dope, spliff, grass, ganja, 420, chronic, gangster, boom, bud, skunk), have being launched.
This victims was exposed on on Sunday, 18th April, 2021, following the arrest of Rhoda Agboje with four pieces of the drug cookies.
“She was arrested at the NNPC Cooperative estate, opposite Gaduwa estate in Abuja based on an allegation that she gave an innocent young girl the cookies to eat. The kid went insane after swallowing the drug cookies and couldn’t sleep, making incoherent utterances as a result of the cookies’ effects,”.
Rhoda, the main suspect, admitted that she bakes the cookies with a friend and sells each three-piece pack for N1,500. Over 200 pieces of the drug cookies were recovered during a follow-up operation at her boyfriend’s home.
“The boyfriend, Ifeanyi Nwankwo, as well as all of the cookie-making equipment, were brought to the office for further investigation. The suspect revealed that she sells at parties and to misguided members of the public, including schoolchildren. In the FCT, the suspect also supplies several supermarkets and nightclubs.”
