Nigerian man “Efika Cletus Lafin” Pensioner in BBC Africa Eye film dies without pension, this was disclosed by residents in his village.
Mr Efika Cletus who was accused of being a “ghost pensioners”,  had died of an illness which started when he went to Calabar for his pension verification and ended up sleeping outside, under the rain, his had great effect on his health, leading to his dead.

According to Mr Cletus Lafin, he told the BBC News that he had travelled to Calabar  the capital of his state, Cross River, 5 separate times, to prove he was alive.

According to a Pensioner, he claim he was forced to give some amount of money as bribes in order to receive his pension money.

Nigerians took this sad news to their social media to cry out to Nigerian Government to correct  the inefficiency in the pension system.
